Johns Hopkins Hospital Surplus Furniture Inventory

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Sustainability Network promotes environmental sustainability throughout Johns Hopkins Institutions. We are committed to avoiding harms to human health, promoting a safe patient atmosphere, and improving environmental quality by enhancing policies, programs, and practices for all of its business activities.

The vision of the Sustainability network at Johns Hopkins Health System is to:

  • Ensure natural resources are used responsibly;
  • Increase the amount of waste that is reused, recycled, repurposed, or composted; and
  • Embed sustainability in decision making, planning, and actions of individuals of the institution.

One of the programs the sustainability team has implemented, is a used/surplus furniture process to increase the reuse of used/surplus office furniture. We provide the following services:

  • Internal Office-to-Office Moves
  • Storing wanted furniture off-campus
  • Removing unwanted furniture from offices and units
  • Reselling good condition unwanted furniture
